Fan / Temp Switch
Hi all, I've had a Kenlowe 'bulb' type sensor for many years and it has done a good job of keeping the 3.9 cool via twin fans. I know there's not much love here for Kenlowe's but they work for me. The sensor that goes in the top hose seems to be as responsive so I'm looking at options for something to switch the fans on and off.
I've seen the Revotec offering and I in a recent LRO there was something from a company called Engine Guard but I can't find the website in the uk. Any advice or recommendations on what you have?

I've got an XEng XFan controlling a couple of fans in my 3.9 and it works fine.

Thanks Blanc . I'll have a look that theirs.
Did you use their standard switch (88-83 / 92-87 ) as it seems a little low for the V8?

I was looking at the 92-87/97-92 as probably being best suited???

I do use the standard switch and the unit is connected into the into the bottom hose. I have a twin fan setup with cowling from a Ford Mondeo which fits bizarrely well to the V8 rad.

To start with I had it wired to two fans for high and low temps but it got quite annoying with the ease at which the first came on. I now have both hooked up to the upper temperature contact and it seems to come on rarely and cool it down nicely when needed.

The reading I did seemed to indicate it could be a bad idea to let the 3.9 run any hotter.
