Green Lanes
Hiya,
Yesterday I had the great pleasure in joining in with the GLAss (Cumbria) Green Laning day. There were was such a good attendance we split-up into four groups of three vehicles and all did different routes. Not many pictures from our group as too busy bouncing over rocks... πŸ˜ƒ
Our posse consisted of Gas as group leader and 'chief gate openerer', me plus two very nicely prepared 90 200Tdi owned by Phil and Steve

Lovely to see you are not caked in mud after your trip out.

One of the lanes was quite overgrown so combined with the rain there was about a mile of 'natural carwash' (and by the end of it a missing aerial).

Phil's red 90 had a Red Booster (??) clutch servo/ master cylinder fitted. You could fully depress the clutch pedal using your fingers..!! If I ever start to suffer with my left knee one of these kits is first on the list.... πŸ‘πŸ‘ 2002 Land Rover 110 Td5 Utility

There are a good number of folks on here that have the Red Booster fitted and an equal amount that have the alternative LOF Power spring and either the Power Master Cylinder or the Slave Cylinder.

Both solutions are excellent, but the LOF one is much simpler.

That's good to know - thank you.

I've got the LOF spring on my pedal so when the time comes (and it's not too far away 😒) I might go 'full LOF '....

Honestly with the LOF master cylinder Miffy's clutch is lighter than our Freelander 2s clutch pedal.

Thanks both..

A happy wife means a happy life etc...πŸ‘πŸ‘

I'd only been laning a couple of times - years ago - when I had my Lightweight. It wasn't the most enjoyable experience and I was jealous of everybody else with their fancy power steering and disk brakes (but mainly the power steering).

I've been itching to get out in my 110 but up until a couple of weeks ago it had the stock Heavy duty shocks/springs fitted. It was bad enough driving on normal roads. I fitted Medium duty front and rear and it was\is great..πŸ‘πŸ‘ 2002 Land Rover 110 Td5 Utility

That is good news with the changing of the springs, so there's no stopping you now Wink 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Looks and sounds like a good day was had by all πŸ‘
Just waiting for the GLASS Lancashire group to arrange something - we will have to venture β€˜cross border’ as not a great deal in our county.
