That would make a good upgrade to the Defender factory version Laughing

Built it 40 years ago. Just recommissioned it for the grand children.
Now fixed - 3 hours labour Big Cry Not much shorter than an output shaft replacement!

I used to have a Hornby O gauge,...just a small set though, I think the engine I had was 0-4-0 tank engine?

Love that! N Gauge was always shrouded in mystery when I was a kid. You saw it but never had the impetus to ask for it or buy it! You had to be a bit of a ninja cos it was all so small!

I had a OO layout on an 8 by 4 piece of chipboard built by my dad with the track pinned to it. It was Hornby with a mixture of theirs and Peco remote controlled points (operated by little levers). The track was ‘nickel silver’, but I’m sure I had some of the old steel stuff too.

I had loads of rolling stock, an ‘Intercity 125’, a 47 and 37 class (I called it a ‘peak’, though I think that was the 45) and my favourite which was an old 08 class ‘shunter’ with magnetic wheels that could pull anything. You could buy buildings made from card which you folded together to make - can’t remember the name of the maker but the detail was superb.

It was ace. Happy memories Thumbs Up

Have a few American HO gauge items that live in the loft but have built some brass and white metal locos in O gauge. When I finish the house a railway around the garden in either of those gauges will follow probably O as previous attempts with HO always result in lots of track cleaning. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy
