iPad DFU mode

Connect the device to a computer using a USB cable.
Hold down both the Home button and Lock button.
After 8 seconds, release the Lock button while continuing to hold down the Home button. ...
Nothing will be displayed on the screen when the device is in DFU mode.

should then restore via iTunes no problem Thanks Jim.

not sure if the mini 4 has a false home button, like the iPhone 7 and 8 etc if it does just use the volume down button at a home button Thanks Jim.
