Kent Meet: NOW ON (and sussex/essex members welcome)

I was thinking of maybe having an evening meet for us Kent Defender 2 forum members...?

It would be a chance for us to get together for a chat, put some names to faces, have a beer, tea, coffee or food, etc, and (if there is daylight) admire each others Defenders.

I know we are all spread out around the county, so I was looking for a fairly central place to meet with easy motorway access. I considered the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel postcode ME17 1RE just off junction 8 of the M20 to be a good central place to meet, in the bar area next to main reception. There is plenty of parking and lots of room in the bar for us to get together. Of course other forum members from East Sussex/Essex or even further afield would be more than welcome to join us if they want to.

I was thinking of a Wednesday or Thursday evening...?, but whenever really. Maybe a Sunday morning breakfast meet?

We aren’t even close to getting a small group together for a meet.

...come on now, there must be a few others not to far away that could come to boost numbers.

On a related note, are there any Land Rover clubs in Kent? I've spotted the Invicta Club which appears to be based in North Kent, are there any which have a focus more in West Kent/East Sussex?
