Hello and advice wanted on security
Hi all this is my first post on here. I have been on disco3 for some time but am currently trying to sell my d3. I am buying a td5 defender next week and would like some advice on the best security devices please. Will post some pics of the car and the story behind it. Cheers

We fit the Clifford G5 range of alarm systems, with dual proximity sensors (interior and exterior) so if anyone stands too close, it'll chirp loudly at them. Mr. Green

There is a place near you that installs Clifford alarm systems. A freind of mine in Much Wenlock had a system installed on his Disco 2 Td5.

Regards,

Gary.

Like the case looks quicker than the clutch claw to fit

Skytag GPS Tracker....If they get the mechanical stuff off, the police will find your motor...the record so far is something like 14 minutes to recover a stolen car !!

Whilst that looks good, it wouldn't take much to cut the box off via the pedal stalks and still be able to operate it via these stalks. They need to extend the box to cover the stalks, imo.

Here is a better option for the TD5: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAND-ROVER-DEFENDER-...1325wt_901

And for the Puma : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAND-ROVER-DEFENDER-...889wt_1135

I have the pedal lock for the TD5 mentioned in the link above from Adrenaline.

I know the lad who makes them, they very well built and tight fitting.
No gap to get anything around the back and goes right upto the lip with the dash.

Well worth the money.

I use a Disclok & a motorcycle Abus disc lock with a built in alarm on the clutch pedal, yes you could cut it off at the stalk but you'd have to put up with the 100db alarm while doing it and the thief would have to be carrying tools for cutting the pedal.

Well I really appreciate the advice, I have just bought one of the pedal locks. Buy the way I got the yellow one for the TD5 that stops them cutting through the pedals. I thought a bit pricey but I love my new car. I will post a few pics later. I have also invested in locking wheel nuts as I really see the ZU wheels very quickly leaving the car Shocked

Do you think it is overkill to have a disclock wheel lock thing also??? Question Question

thanks again
