Introduction & Quick Query re. Connector
I've introduced myself in the main section but thought I would just pop into here to post a quick hello as knowing Landy's I'm probably going to be in this section a lot Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I recently purchased a Defender 90 Td5 and have been researching various aspects of ownership on this forum and loved the community spirit so much I thought I'd join up! Very Happy

I've previously owned a Discovery 1 300tdi and 2 Discovery 2 Td5s, this is my first time owning a Defender and so far loving it Thumbs Up

Thought I would post a couple of pics of our E.A.T. or Epic Adventure Truck as it has become known as by the kids!

It was originally a blue pickup with a white roof which has been converted to a CSW and retrofitted with Exmoor Trim XS heated seats prior to being purchased by myself and I intend to continue with the project.

Please could anybody advise what this connector situated beneath the cubbybox maybe for?

Apologies if the above is in the wrong section, I didn't just want to post for information without first introducing myself to everybody.

Thanks for the speedy replies, I'm guessing I want to be tucking that away then?

It's a 2001 model.

If you have the ability to turn a wrench its worth picking up a scan tool like Nanocomm or a cheapo like iCarsoft 930 to plug into that and tell you which ABS sensor or MAF or some such thing to look at. 👍 It is also worth securing the OBD plug rather than lay there and let it fill with dust, dirt, grime and such.

I anchored mine to the bittom of my cubby (which is alos raised to house the sub woofer).

Hi 4RF RDS,

I can do basic jobs usually by figuring everything out however I have 2 brother-in-laws who are mechanics so investing in a Nanocom or alternative may be a good thing!

Looks like you have mounted yours through your cubby box?

There is a little metal frame the plug is supposed to snap into. Your was removed when the wonderful sound insulation system was put in. I cut my little frame and then screwed it onto the bottom of the cubby. I took a couple more pics which show it better. Hope this helps osme

Cheers
