The driver should be named and shamed.

Pretty normal for Devon Laughing Believe me when I say, this is relatively safe compared to what I see locally in the barnstaple area Shocked

I once saw a wheely bin and a cement mixer (both stood up and the mixer on its stand!) sliding around in the back of a camping trailer (no working lights obviously) bouncing around behind a range rover. I luckily turned off the roundabout as he accelerated down the A361 no doubt up to 60mph.

I agree that they should all be named and shamed! It's bad enough in a car but as a motorcyclist it annoys me even more as, when it comes off, it becomes a lethal weapon. I wouldn't take kindly to having a tin shed in the face/neck. With that kind of load, even if you leave a massive gap it could still blow down the road and hit you.

What do they between their ears? Sawdust or cotton wool?

Sorry it might sound harsh but a fixed penalty notice is not suffice for that imbecile! Driving licence is revoked until an extended driving test passed would be more appropriate.

Even if we were transporting that in our flat bed trailer with sides on I would use more than one rope.

When we were in France, driving into town one day, we overtook a Beat up old Citroen Xantia towing a full size round bailer!
That was a sight to behold, I really wished I took a photo.... Laughing 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"
