Power Steering Pump loose pipe connection
A "heads up":

Check the pipe connection to the underside of PAS Pump. Mine had become loose and resulted in the loss of fluid.

Fellow forumite timmyNZ also had this happen with the loss of all fluid.

Easy to check and easy to fix by retightening the nut. Mahn

Happened to me last week.I was experiencing a small loss of fluid so I was topping it up weekly until I figured out where it was going .Last week my yard was covered in oily stuff-the day was very wet,so it was very noticable.Put her in the shed and traced the leak to the loose nut.Easily fixed as stated above.Just over 6,000 kms on mine.
I had the oil and filter changed last week.Other jobs tackled incuded a non-working door stay on the front passenger site. Two nuts needed tightened. One is in plane site the other is beneath the door stay cover.

Re the above.Forgot to mention that at the first service I also had the fuel tank breather extended. This was done by fitting the diesel line from a Discovery to it.There was a Discovery chassis in the dealers yard so the fuel line was removed from this as used as the extension to my breather pipe.It goes right up to the bulkhead.Took about five minutes to do.Never had much water when I drained it weekly to check it,so there should be even less now.

Hi Guys. This happend to me with a brand new 90. after 1500 km the hose popped off and the steering was no more! Land Rover's don't leak oil, they simply mark their territory!
