Ciggy lighter wires.

These wires are from my ciggy lighter which i do not use anymore, but i am in the process of adding something and i need to know what the colours represent as i might be able to use them ?

Would think black is ground, red postive and green illiumination when headlights on but best check with multimeter

Sounds right, the green terminal looks smaller which would indicate the small tab for the cigar lighter illumination

I cant check with a multi-meter as i dont have one and dont know how to use one

? red/orange is illumination (+) as Martin said. Green (it‘s purple/green with mine) aux-switched live (+).

Diagrams are for 2002 on (technically up to 2006) but you should get the gist.

Battery - main fuse - ignition - circuit fuse - accessory.
