Defender 6V electric Halfords/Aldi - Owners Manual?
http://www.halfords.com/kids-zone/ride-on-...ide-on-car
https://www.aldi.co.uk/black-ride-on-kids%...5182249500
Just Collected one this evening, and in true LR fashion - I already have an issue! Smile

Does anyone know if these come with an owners manual - an instruction book for assembly, charging, etc?

A review on the Aldi site suggests they do and it should be under the seat, but there's nothing to be found with the one I have.

(,,,,,,,,,, suppose I couldring a main dealer in the morning Rolling Eyes ) It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.

I don't know how I missed that!

I've seen them in Aldi, black with black picture on the box and in Halford's, silver, with silver picture on box ... so just assumed.

Could have been a little disappointed Christmas morning if I thought I was getting an orange paint job. Smile It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.

It says I am not allowed to Private Message him? Some antispam rubbish.

Basically mine stopped working, stripped it down and found dry joints on the motor connection. Stupidly I didn't make a note of which yellow and black wires go where on the accelerator. Oddly there are 2 pairs of wires, looka like a curcuit (not sure for what) is closed when up.

Kind Regards
Louis

Hi Louis,
Ride on was an Xmas present for a grandson.
He's had loads of use out of it and it's still going strong.

Hi Pat
Thanks for coming back to me.

Out of interest is the landrover at yours or the grandsons? Only reason I ask is Ive repaired mine and there are 4 wires to the switch. Ive connected 2 that make up the motor curcuit so it currently works perfectly. Ive not connected the other two. My guess is they may be needed for the charging curcuit but I won't find out that until it runs flat and fails to charge? I don't suppose you still have the instructions and if so is this switch in there?

Cheers mate

Louis

Sorry, the Defender is nearly two hours drive away.
If you can post a picture or two, can get my son to have a look. It started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this.
