A little off topic but related... I had a twin USB port fitted in the glove box specifically to run a SatNav. However when plugged in the satnav just boots up then immediately shuts down and reboots? Works fine in a 12v cigar socket. Would this be due to a lower current from the USB?

Only mention as if you replace the cigar socket with USB you might not be able to run a SatNav. May just be my rather aging SatNav. James

Good and helpful point James Thumbs Up

I'm running a separate fused feed to the USB socket from a Blue Sea fuse box mounted in the battery box.
