Out for a spin
Decided to pop to north wales - first run with the roof tent off and proper run - 292 miles, 30mpg - moving along with the flow, not hanging around. 30mpg is what im talking about thats 5mpg saving with the tent off

Overtook a couple of olders ones (some noisy) just remembered why this is so good...and great improvement with no roof tent. Mike

I can only dream of mpg like that. I filled mine up at the weekend and the last 110 miles i did it averaged 18.7mpg. Just patriot roof rack and 6" spotlights on top. Crying or Very sad

When it was new (with all the kit) it did 27 on the motorways no problem but for the last 12 months it has never done more than 24/25 and that is driving like a granny( 60 mph on motor ways). Don't know what happend to it but it started at the seme time as all my other problems. On the way back form the Alps this year I follow a mate in his 300tdi. First tank full I got 24.2 and he got 32 on the second I got 23.4 and he got 29 this is all motorway driving. I think he has big intercooler and turner head and a pump tweak.
