United Kingdom 2006 Defender 90 Td5 XS CSW Bonatti Grey
Td5 fuel pressure regulator
Working out the correct part for my td5 defender

Most parts for Land Rover online will say suitable for either 1a 2a or 3a and 6a defenders, how do I know which one one is ? Can't find either in vin ?!

I'm sure the part needed for 2005 defender is LR016318? 3 pipe ? Parts removed says MSO000030 but cannot find this one at all. Gasket part number I believe is MSX000010

Anyone know ?

Is it possible to fit the wrong one? I know it's obvious and it will either has a 2 or 3 pipe entry but are they more than one of each ?

Many thanks

Alex

Only 1 of each type - so either 2 pipe (10P engine up to and including 2001 model year) or 3 pipe (15P engine 2002 model year onwards).

The 1A/2A/3A etc you can't find in the VIN is the last two characters before the final six numbers. So lop off the last 6 numbers, then the last 2 on what is left is the model year code (A-Y, 1-9) plus the assembly location (A = Solihull).  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Cheers!

I didn't know if the diaphragm was different etc. I guessing the MSO000030 was fitted to disco and defenders when new ? As it the original one.

MSO000030 doesn't appear in the parts catalogue, it may be a production part number, or a casting/sub-assembly part number that can't be bought on its own.

But there have been a couple of supercessions, ending up at LR016318 for the 3 pipe and LR016319 for the 2 pipe.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top
