Searching
I went to see a 1994 RRC Vogue SE this evening. It was a 300tdi, manual, no aircon and on springs thanks to someone ripping out the air sus. The chassis looked good, the bulkhead and engine bay were clean, it had a new roof lining, the electrics all worked (even the sunroof didn't leak). It was on for £4.4k. Something at the time made me say no. It looked like it needed new sills, the roof guttering was sans paint, various bubbling on the different panels. I got home, thought about and contacted the guy to say I'll sleep on it - it sold about an hour after I left. Fortune favours the brave not the criminally indecisive. Censored !

My sympathies. Late RRC's can be a minefield as they were made from biscuits rather than metal, and can rot for England.

Today I went to look at a farm in my '96 model year V8 auto RRC with the wife (I would have gone in the Defender if she wasn't coming along!)

Although I keep it a bit "posh" I had to drive down some long, wet, rutted muddy tracks, with 4 people up, and then through some woods.

People who rip out the air-sus are stupid - I pressed the switch, raised the suspension and we just cruised through everything, over lumps of wood etc.

Got home, lowered the suspension to "kneel" and the wife could hop out with no trouble.

Twenty one years old and still absolutely capable.

Nice. I will keep looking. Perhaps a Jap or Aus import is the way forward. Less rot to contend with.

I thought of you the other day, I saw an early 110 for sale (via Nene I think) without the indicators on the front wings and the smart slidey windows!! It didn't sell on fleabay, reaching about £3700 from memory.

Yes, that One Ten was also on eBay several months ago and appeared to sell at over £8,000 - but then it appeared again recently with the same seller.

The front wing repeaters were standard on County SW's but not on the non-Countys.

If you go for Jap or Aus you will get the functionality but not the class! Laughing

I just need to wash mine now... Thud

I still regret not buying my Dads old 300 tdi soft dash RRC off him, it really was a lovely vehicle! I don't want to rub it in but at that price I'm not surprised it was snapped up!

Had to have a look what was about and found this Shocked http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...amp;page=2

Wow, that Autotrader RR is expensive. I don't expect mine is worth anywhere near that, despite being an N plate.

Off Topic In answer to your question JOW, I will only say "north of me". Whistle

I only need a small acreage, to keep me amused in my old age.....
