Rattle Can Paint Suggestions
Gents

I am looking to paint various small bits and pieces on the vehicle ( Body Colour ) and am looking for
Suggestions for a qualify Rattle Can Paint supplier.
I won’t be using Halfords paints, from previous experience it’s not
particularly good ( although U Pol paints are the exception )

Nice to have suggestions from those that have actually used the paints they are suggesting.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I’ve used carpaint4u a few times for colour matched paint. Good customer service if you have any questions too. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

If you have a compressor, buy a small cheap spray gun. Works out so much better value and results. The only advantage with aerosols is the convenience. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I got mine from there as well, have to say it’s a spot on colour match and nice paint, one can goes a decent way.

I do have a compressor which I have to admit that I haven’t used as of yet so the rattle can
Is the convenience factor.

Really should make an effort in respect of the compressor😳

+1 on the compressor. Much cheaper.
For a 1 time job, can get 2K paint in a rattle can, quality paint with the convenience but at a price.
But I cannot see it being a one time job with a Defender. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Not a paint recommendation but...
When using an aerosol to paint small things my strong advice is to visit your local art supplier (or Google) and get a pack of assorted aerosol paint nozzles. Standard car cans come with a broad tip suitable for a car-sized panel- wasting most of your paint and dumping too much paint onto your small thing. The assortment will have a range of tips so you can choose a suitable size. (I often paint bicycle frames which are hopelessly overpowered by car paint aerosols but a with suitable nozzle they are ideal.) Cheers, Guy.

That’s very useful advice, I have never thought of that before.
I will give google a go. Could you give me an idea where you get yours from just in case
I can’t find what I am looking for.

I have the green cap set at this link https://www.montana-cans.com/en/accessories/nozzles/
It seems to be suitable for paints I’ve used on cars and bikes but you will see there is a wide and confusing range out there. I didn’t give it much thought and just bought what the local art shop had in stock. The ‘narrow’ caps are very narrow so it is worth the ‘can upside down purge’ to keep them clear.
Google ‘montana spray caps’ to find a supplier. Cheers, Guy.
