No they are not. The latch sunroof cutout is approx 1" larger than the rotary.

That is news to me as i bought a complete NATO spec aluminium sunroof with the latch and replaced the latch with the wheel catch and it fits perfectly. I sold the surplus frame and seals to a guy with a Puma and he now has a sunroof.

I have both a rotary handle glass sunroof & a latch handle aluminium escape hatch & both are the same size.

So the glass is the same size but the cutout for the frame is different?

Sorry to hijack, but is your sunroof over the middle seats (on a 110) or over the front seats (110/90?) Mine is a rotary handle type and my glass has a slight curve to it and is over the middle seats. 1999 Defender TD5 110

They both use the same internal frame so the cut out should be identical - I got the escape hatch first but it didn't have the inner frame so bought a glass rotary handle one with the frame & it fits the escape hatch. |

I've a full 110 roof for sale with a sun-roof in it. Can't remember if it's a latch or rotary for sure, think it's a latch.
I'd rather get rid of the full roof, but could split. PM me if you're interested. Dirty Deeds - Done Dirt Cheap |

Not sure if all sunroofs are the same size, for if you buy a new headlining especially for a 90 the aperture cut out for the sunroof is larger on modern vehicles than the headlining aperture pre 1996.
I recall when Exmoor Trim sold headlinings they mentioned this larger cut out in the description. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Hi Spruce Pirate, that might be the solution. Replace the roof (without a sunroof) rather than replace the sunroof only for it leak in a couple of years.
If anyone's got a 90 roof in good condition without a sunroof I will be interested. |
