Rear load space divider?!
Hi all, I have a 2011 110 Utility and would like to get some of the rear load space off of the dog! I know lots of places make/sell these for disco' & RR's but not defenders. Can anyone point me in the direction of one? Or someone who could make one up?

I just put some 18mm ply across the rear raised up on blocks either side that was wide enough for my Labrador, with a comfy bed type cushion on it. He loved it as he could poke his head between the rear seat head restraints to see what was going on.
It gave me storage underneath and a couple of feet near the back door that was dog free.
Cheap and easy.

Not quite the same but I made one for my Amarok with about 20quid of unistrut and ply. Just bolted a length of unistrut front to back up the middle of the loadspace, slid an 18mm ply board that's 3ft tall in the channel then put some uprights in to support it. Rattles a bit, bit I can't hear it in the cab.

Try LR006447

It's about £200 if you buy it and fit it yourself (it's not difficult), nb they often come up on ebay, but they usually have the brackets missing - brackets can't be bought seperately.

another option for dividing up the boot space is horizontally....

The things we do for our dogs! There must be some defective gene that predisposes Land Rover and Dog ownership.

For the record, our dogs just get the whole of the back seat, so not such a problem. Whistle

So my issue is I have this big vehicle, a new born baby and all her stuff, and a dog that takes up the whole boot! I have a dog guard, and am planning to put in a ply shelf across the wheel arches, but then I want a divider so the dog can have half of the boot, and the pushchair can have the other half!

The simple solution maybe a dog crate , especially after you've made the shelf and stow the baby stuff in there, alternatively butcher and old dog guard or fire guard to the right size , the only problem I foresee is how to secure it at the door end to keep it rigid, perhaps utiising the grab handles above the back door

+1 for a dog crate. I have a couple of TransK9 crates and the build quality is spot on. You can pile stuff on them / around them and the dog still has its own space. The best bit is that when the dog gets in the crate it can shake and the mud etc. doesn't splatter the roof lining / window etc.
