We're in the process of winding everything down and handing back to the landlord in September but have one barn there that is well out of the sight of prying eyes. Yep! He could have said, ‘I am new to this forum in fact this is my first post but I am desperately in need of some help’.
Still the guy is probably sound his post is not actually asking for anything except assistance. Though the moral is, if you own a Defender do not sell your house before you have found a good and safe place to store your Land Rover at. Thought I was the suspicious one!
My request for help this morning seems to have been taken off the forum. I've dropped in on this site several times over the last couple of years, even asked advice before buying my retirement reward - re-joined when I forgot my original log on details. Why haven't I posted before: I refuse to be a slave to the internet (although it's becoming increasingly difficult), broadband crawls along bits of wire no better than string in parts of rural Herefordshire (internet activity becomes a chore) ...... and I simply haven't needed to post. I've been through the ranks, two series III's (should never have let my limestone safari roof SW go), a ninety and a disco. Then putting family needs first, I waited patiently for the 20 for my next and probably final Defender. At 61 I find myself a homeless orphan - with a Puma 90 as a best mate ............ and in need of some good advice I turned to you guys! |

When I looked for replies a few minutes ago, I discovered it was no longer there. I found my post via "My Posts" under the heading "Off Topic" - thought this meant "taken off forum", but have now seen there is an "off topic" area. Apologies. Farmerben, are you on a farm impacted by the county council sale being run through Fisher German? I'm in North Worcs and there has been a lot of publicity about it in the last week or so. It seems like madness to me, super short sighted.

Pat sorry to have cast aspersions on your orginal post no offence was meant just as stated in the thread we are all very protective of our Defenders. One thought is there a main dealer with a secure compound perhaps you could contact? Good luck in your search
