On the listing for a winch the seller should really state the bolt pattern, if not you can look up the model and the manufacturer will definitely say. As far as I'm aware most winches use the 4.5x10" bolt pattern. 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Pretty much an 'lowline' winch (i.e. anything except for the big Ramsey Hydraulics, Superwinch Husky or Warn 8274)

I can vouch for Goodwinch service, knowledge and winches. I use the 12000lbs one and does well. 1999 Defender TD5 110
