Overland / Expedition board
Martin,

How about a new section on the above? Lot's of us undertake various kinds of expedition and overland trips. It's be great if there was a specific expedition board to talk about equipment related to travel etc.

Well Mike I don't travel so I think it is a silly idea! Razz Rolling with laughter

Martin have a look at one of my reports on the Yorkshire Offroad club wetsite HERE

Have a look at the number of hits that report has had for a small club website.

Whilst that trip was one of a lifetime type trips and in terms of time probably more then a lot of people can take. Have a look HERE More in line with time constraints that most people have. Also a much more realistic target area for people. Again have a look at the number of views that report has had.

There again Mike might have just have made a semi decent suggestion Razz

Thumbs Up A lot of it would be relevant to camping in this country also, especially the equipment and vehicle prep........

It's not defender specific though. and I think there are a really good bunch of generally sensible people here and most people contribute rather than just take take take as is the case with a lot of forums (not saying the one you mention is like that by the way). The other thing I've found with forums of all kinds is that you often get people who are basically armchair experts who don't actually go out and DO, they just sit behind the computer and talk about it. We have a load of great people here with bags of direct experience so why not use that resource for "us" if you know what I mean

What? are you being all "defenders are better than everything else?" Very Happy I think you will find 95% of the membership is by land rover owners. Sure not all landies & even more specifically defenders but you really shouldn't be so blinkered.......other cars have some very experienced and knowledegable drivers too Very Happy

It was just a suggestion. Just seems a bit silly doubling up all the time on 100 different forums. You'll probably recognise some of the names over there anyway from on here Very Happy
