1993 Defender 110 w/ Immobiliser won't start | |
So I just bought a 1993 Defender 110 and had it delivered to my house (2.5 hours from the dealership I bought it from) and my wife and I am unable to start it. I insert the immobiliser key and the LED light goes out but when I turn the key in the ignition the lights come on the dash but there is no starter click and the engine does not even attempt to turn over. I don't think it is the immobiliser as if I wait more than the advertised 20 seconds the LED on the immobiliser comes on and none of the lights on the dash come on. The battery seems to be carrying a good charge as the lights (interior and exterior) all work when tested. I am absolutely puzzled. Any help would be much appreciated!

Check connections to starter. Especially spade connector on solenoid - give it a wiggle.

srod, forgive my ignorance but where do I find the spade connector and the solenoid? I'm afraid I'm new to Landys and not incredibly mechanically inclined...
