Looking good,
You may want to check the headlight surrounds as near side is not lined up with the adjuster screws for the headlights.

Well my first ever show was great, I've been to many country shows and farm shows but always as a spectator looking at other stuff. It was great Thumbs Up

I asked about a respray and it was 'Around' Β£3k...

I've probably spent Β£40 on Primer and the same on paint Smile then a few brushes and rollers , masking tape etc. OK up close its obvious but I've saved Β£2900 and if it looked too good I would not want to use it Very Happy it looks a lot better than it did but still 'rugged'

I like the heater cover limestone Thumbs Up its different... like the light surrounds I painted limestone. I've spent ages on google images looking at different cars.

Either way its great fun, need to sort the gear change out as its seems to get harder to get into gear as it get warmer? I have a new clutch slave cylinder so hope that helps? then a list of jobs that still need doing but it keeps me busy in the evenings.

Thanks all, I'm ok with people telling me what they like / don't or if things I have fitted are wrong. Thumbs Up

Its a learning curve but I'm happy that certain things I have changed as its mine to change, not the 'right' way Thumbs Up

I will change the headlamp surround as that's a functional part.

Second show, little lad so excited as he missed the Cheshire Show as it was a school day. Kelsall Steam Ralley

A few more jobs,

Sliding window runners had mold and other life form from the past 40 odd years growing out of them Smile

So removed / drilled / the old ones out, cleaned up and hamerite the runner then new ones in. What a job getting the windows back in...

Using what I could to squeeze the windows back in the runners..... not a nice job

But now I have working sliding windows Smile although I lost one of the little tiny pins in the locking catch (if anyone has one spare)

Then a few more jobs done.

All gearbox's oil change, main, transfer and overdrive.

While it's like this I will sand, prime and rustproof. Also new floor bolts ordered and clean up the paint work around the tunnel.

It also seems like a good idea to drill a large hole and put a grommet over it to make filling the gearbox up easier next time Smile

So currently my car looks like this inside Shocked

I must have walked straight past it at the Kelsall Show, though to be honest, we went in the V8 and as the car park was full of pikey vans and pick-ups, we walked around really very quickly...Mrs G said I should have had the Benny Hill tune playing on my phone.....

I even missed a few mates who were on 'Sandbach Avenue' (street, road, can't remember).

Anywho, it looks great and it's fab that you're using it a lot Thumbs Up
