Defender windscreen hinge/bracket. (Yes i know its not a hinge but they're still called that!)

Yrm, gore and some others do replacements that look very lovely and anodised.

Mine was exactly like that, and I just replaced both as a pair. Was only about £50 for a set of two black powder coated ones. You can then paint these up to match the body colour, but I left them black (matches the other exterior trim bits for me).

Three bolts hold them on. Replacement blocks about £10 each in bare alloy, £30 a pair powder coated black or silver, or £90 a pair anodised aluminium billet.
You will need two gaskets MCX9983, and two gaskets MCX9982. These are fibre gaskets. Don't use the rubber ones as they distort.
Just done mine, about half an hour if the blocks are ready painted.

Excellent, thank you all for your responses. Looks like a new set of non hinging hinges for me then.

Forgot to say that they are left and right handed if you buy them individually, and there are two gaskets per hinge.

Went for a set of Gore 'hinges'. Not the cheapest, but pretty good looking for a lump of metal.
