2000 Defender 110 Td5 CSW Coniston Green

Bit of Bling for my Knobs

Well as I await the new gearbox to turn up I thought I would paint my knobs.

I still need to finish the Diff-lock knob.

That's cool, it reminds me of the knobs in the old 4 speed classic range rovers

I was thinking anthracite would be a cool colour to use

I have just ordered some Glow in the Dark paint and I may give that a try on the next attempt.

Nice! So how did you do them? Paint them and carefully wipe off the excess before it dries? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I tried to wipe but it had partially dried so just smudged. So I cleaned and repainted and then use a knife to scrape the most of it away. The odd bits that wouldn't just clean up I have just used a marker pen to colour it.

It's only Tamiya Acrylic Paint (XF-2 Flat White). Model paint.
