Recently bought an Arlo kit and returning it due to not performing even close to how they make out in the advertising blurb. Great idea, but needs a lot of work!

Adam? Was it Arlo Pro, or the earlier version?

I went with ucam247 for a wireless hd system. http://www.ucam247.com/
Great daytime vision, night vision ok if used inconjuction with a security light coming on. Suffers from recording spiders, moths and rain at night. I use it with a mini wireless hd drive and it's spot on for my needs |

Worth checking out LIFX A19 light bulbs too, if you can get them in a waterproof housing. They have an IR mode to help Night viz CCTV systems. Works with Nest Cam etc too
