2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Keswick Green

rear seat advice please

i'm wanting a rear seat in my 09 90 hardtop for occasional use, thought of something like this, I don't want bench seats

Those seats are quite a bit larger in the requirements of space than a bench seat. The bench seat foes take up alot less room. But on the flip side as an occasional use seat I have seen some clever ideas. One truck I remember is that a foam pad, nicely padded too, had been bolted to the wing top and a pad a then against the side. Created a function free permanent temp seat. Seating needs to be secure for MOT and road law, you'd simply need a decent lap belt kit to ensure security for that and you'd be away

I was going to get round to actually buying one of these today, a few people sell them, most state they are for up to 2007 only, does this mean they have to be forward facing seats in the back from 07 onwards ? Don't wish to cause a problem with my insurance

Seats have to be forward facing from 2007 Puma model introduction. If your vehicle was pre Puma i.e. td5 or tdi you would be able to fit a bench seat as this was standard issue with these vehicles. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
