What The Censored . That is a pile of crap, we have all seen these colour coded half assed attempts at making the Defender bling.

Why oh why doesn't someone at Land Rover get the bull by the Censored horns and make a Defender thats useful Evil or Very Mad IE an overland special edition with extra fuel tanks, storage, water, fridge, winch, rack, etc etc etc.

And breathe and breathe

Sorry lost it for a moment then Shocked 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

Agree with Andy,

The aftermarket business for defenders must run into the 100's of millions, strange why LR do not try to take advantage of this and sell a 110 for £35-£40k with some (non mantec) proper expedition accessories and cash in? (not a knocking mantec by this statement Bow down )

I assume by offering the Mantec stuff and fair play it has done the G4 events and is bolted to 100's of defenders out there, LR must consider it does offer the adventurer some proper accessories. I might be answering my own question but maybe it is also to do with warranty issues. But to offer something on the lines of a tomb raider again would be better received and obliviously in this forums opinion more likely to be brought by one of us, rather than the limited edition’s they seem to chuck out. I think LR should look at this and take advantage of customers spending £25-£30k on an aluminum box, and see how much more cash they have in their pockets Whistle

Personal opinion the above, no offence to any special edition owners. Thumbs Up Mr. Green

I agree on the points about it..... pointless Rolling Eyes

I have Mantec snorkel, steering guard, tank guard and rock sliders.... great products.

The reason why Land Rover sell a small selection of extras is all about supply and demand

What do most defender drivers buy for their LR?.... Light guards, snorkel, steering guard etc (all the things LR have a s extras)

How many people install extended fuel tanks, roll cages, water tanks etc?

All comes down to money at the end.

I find it funny that you can buy a locking diff for a sport or d3/4 but not a defender.

I know they use a limited number of suppliers as there are a mirriad legislative, warranty etc issues for the manufacturer that doesn't apply elsewhere Mike

So true..... maybe it is bacause Defender already has a awesome name for off-road that they don't think it needs one.
