Nothing wrong with "red-line" driving mk1...
![]() Incidentally the fuel pump is 171k miles old as well. The only thing that I have done is cleaned it about 4/5 years ago now. |

I don't think I actually drive that aggressively though

Driving steadily at 50 miles per hour, admittedly with a 2 inch lift and a full roof rack, running bf Goodrich 265’s and I’m only getting 240ish miles per full tank in a 2003 td5 90.
I’ve just dropped my defender in for a remap, larger intercooler and new springs, shocks etc. I will report back on how many miles I get per tank. Hopefully 300! Or more. ![]() |

After a remap and a larger intercooler you could be worse... depends how much you "enjoy" the right foot action...

Last Saturday I did a 500 mile day...
110, family of 4 plus dog and luggage, 4 bar Rhino roof rack, Michelin Latitude 7.5R16, cruising at 55mph I got 348 miles from 49.4 litres! So that would be about 425 to a tank... |
