RPM @ 60mph with 7.50 x 16 tyres
Hi,

Does anyone know what revs their engine is doing at 60 mph on 7.50 x 16 tyres?

Not sure what gearing I have but doing 2150 rpm at 60 mph on my 7,50 x 16 tyres.

I tried looking at the transfer box and it says standard but may have just had the gears changed.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve.

I've got 7.50 tyres and Discovery2 T-box gears and I have around 2200rpm at 60mph so it sounds like you have the 1.2 T-box rato.

Ross.

Hi Ross,

Perfect thanks for that, Defenders with the standard transfer must really scream then!

Steve, are you running a standard engine/ECU map?

When I first fitted the 1.2 T-box everything was fine - a bit sluggish in 5th, but nothing serious - until I bought a caravan. It towed just about ok but long hills were a real pain.

After a while I went for a re-map to help.

Ross.
