1986 Defender 90 2.5 n/a Diesel ST Nato Green

Engine oil spec

Hi we've just taken custody of a 1986 ex military 90 and i would like some advise please re what grade engine oil to put in a 1986 2.5 NA Diesel engine,I've bought all the filters ,antifreeze and EP90 to do a full service but am unsure which is the best engine oil to go for,any help/advise with this please would be great

10W-40 semi synthetic will do. Here is a selection from a site sponsor. You will get similar at any motor factors or Halfords or you could purchase from Opie.

Then again some people prefer mineral oil for older vehicles. 10W-40 or 15W-40. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
