update on stage 1 remap
Hi all
I'm having a stage 1 remap on the weekend at M&r autos in Leominster. It's the alive map being installed. Anyone used them? They have good reports just wondering if anyone has used them? I have a problem with my maf and they said they will sort it out first

Have to say very happy with the remap! Huge difference from stock and the power curve is spot on. Smooth and instant in every gear. My only issue was the maf was goosed and he replaced it with a VDO maf and charged me more than a genuine one.
Too exited about the power difference at the time to argue.

I had an Alive remap on my old TD5 110 and a TD5 Discovery before that. Gary from Alive really knows his stuff Thumbs Up Darren

My Alive TD5 remap did not work.

The Defender went like stink after it was done, but put out more smoke than an SAS smoke grenade.

All you could see at night were the lights of cars you'd passed in the cloud of unburnt diesel.

I had to have it reset to standard by Land Rover which cost a further £125.

But l seem to be in a minority of one, as nobody else has had any trouble. I put it down to something abnormal with my engine, although it runs perfectly with no smoke at all in standard tune.

I can vouch for Mark, he's been doing the remap side for a while now and has a fair few under his belt. The backup he gets from Alive is outstanding and with Marks passion for Land Rovers you won't go far wrong Thumbs Up
