Removing/Replacing Puma 3rd row seats-is there easier way?

My wife doesn't like to travel light, so have to remove one or both of the 3rd row seats from our TDCi.

Just got back from a week in Scotland and had to fight to replace the rear seat again. I can't quite believe the company that designed the Discovery back seats also designed these things!

Is there an alternative way to fit, different fittings or something? Anyone found a better way?
