I would recommend OME shocks and springs.
http://www.oldmanemu.com.au The spring shock combination provides a very comfortable ride. Not harsh or unforgiving but a positive tight feel. They have different combinations of springs for various load weights (like the additional weight of a heavy front bumper or winch, or additional load of towing). I ran them on my NAS 90 for 12 years, and it was one of the first mods on my Td5. Usually the first upgrade I tell people to consider. They have a proven track record, and are top quality. Shouldn't be difficult to find a dealer for them in the UK. it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

I bought a set up from Flatdog they are 15mm taller and apparently rated for 15-20 percent higher loading.
It's their HD springs, and OME shocks, then added super-pro polybushes. We have a winch/winch bumper fitted and use it for carrying reasonable loads. Have driven it empty/laden/heavily laden. And 4k miles in I'm well chuffed with the set up fitted. Initially when completely empty it was a bit fidgety, although now everything has settled I'd describe it as firm and compliant. Hope this helps Chris |

Interested to find out if anyone's ever tried the Commercial HD shocks from Terrafirma - they seem like they'd be pretty good on paper at least...

If you want a specific set rather than something generic, suggest you drop an email to both http://www.devon4x4.com and http://www.gwynlewis4x4.co.uk who will suggest what rate springs/dampers you need for your application.

Do you not find them too bouncy or hard? I was thinking of the same set up myself, so has it lifted your 110 by 15mm? |
