My new (old!) truck !!

Hi all,

Have been on here a few months now having returned to defender ownership after 4 years , having owned a rrs sport and disco 4 in meantime. They are a strange beast these defenders and for some reason I just keep going back to them probably because they have so much character and individuality. I've owned a few puma and td5 defenders in my time and a v8 50 , which I wish I'd kept !

I bought a 2002 defender 90 td5 pickup a few months ago, which was a credit to the previous owner who had dried stored vehicle for past 8 years and has spent a small fortune on it. Unusually for a pickup (usually have hard lives !) it's as clean as a whistle and in great condition. Vehicle enhancements include a drl bumper, leather seats and dash, great audio etc

I've fitted an exmore trim canvas canopy and Nakatanenga sparewheel carrier ( many thanks for advice from some members on here, great bit of kit and well engineered) and now saving up for future vehicle enhancements as bank balance a bit low after paying for these !!

I've been lurking in the background for a while so thought I'd say hello to all!

You do know that the side flaps on the rear curtain go inside the sleeves on the side curtains?

Nice to see one with a proper old-school tilt, by the way. I hate these modern plastic monstrosities!

Hi Steve,

It's Caledonian blue , not used on land rovers I believe for a few years. Similar in some respects to pearlescent blue on the v8 50 I used to own
