I've heard they're not bad, but that depends on what you plan to use it for. Running hungry air tools you need more displacement and a bigger receiver.

Mine's been going well for many years.
Not enough capacity for all the power tools available but fine for spray jobs, blow gun, tyre inflation etc.. ![]() |

You need to specify it the other way round. Decide what tools you want to run, then look upa few and figure out what they need. There's quite a few articles with guidelines out there.
From what I've read one of the little single phase 50l compressors will struggle with 1 wheel, depending on the gun. Have you looked at battery impacts? |

You will struggle to find a compressor with a 13amp plug that will comfortably run an impact wrench at full strength. I've got a 3hp 50litre one that wont. It just can't shift enough air at high enough pressure. The trouble is, at full flow the outlet pressure falls to about 60psi so while the gun feels like it running well its not got the full 90psi it needs for full strength.
On the other hand, it runs a 1/2" air ratchet brilliantly, it is my favourite tool. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

I hear you... ![]() My main use would be for blow gun, spraying and tyre inflation. If it ran some air tools it would be a bonus. I do fancy a battery impact, as the time I'll need it most is out on the trail. cheers simon |

if I'm using something that needs a lot of air. a impact gun for example I run the compressor down and then once it's about up to pressure and about to cut out I use the tool. The compressor helps keep the pressure up a bit longer and husually has a bum it more ummpph 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)
