Brake Light Wiring Diagram/Colours
Hi Guys,

I am installing parking sensors and need to connect it to the rear brake light. As the brake light is also the rear light, I don't know which colour wire to use.

Does anyone know which of the three wires triggers the brake light?

Thanks in advance.

Surely you want the reversing light?

No. I do actually want the brake light.

You can wire to the reversing lights for rear sensors but the front use the reversing and brake light as triggers.

Thanks.

Thank you dorsetsmith but that goes over my simple head. Do you know what colour wire is the brake light trigger?

There are three wires, I am assuming one is ground, one is live for the rear light and one is live for the brake light. I just don't know which is which.

Thanks again.
