If you look on the out side frame you will.see a rubber strip. Remove the rubber strip and it will expose all the pop rivets which hold the unit in
Drill out the rivets and remove the unit. If you still want to remove the glass the frame splits in two and is held together by flush mounted screws. Remove them and pull the unit apart |

and I thought these units were glued in place - or is that just the pumas?

They are bonded in place from 2004ish onwards as the robot which did it was transferred from the disco2 production line!

on that basis I guess it's a knife or cheese all the way round (without removing too much paint) and they 'should' just drop out?

That was what I thought.... I have no rubber around my rear windows.... just two pieces of hard plastic.
I guess ill go find some cheese wire!!! |

Dont suppose anyone has access to an exploded diagram of how the window and all its pieces fit together.
If i really do need to cut the window out by cutting through the bonding material i would be nice to know that after all that work it will just "fall" out. |
