Well done ITV
They broadcast nothing at all on all six channels from 09.30 for a hour today,
This was in effort to get people of there sofas and do some mainly free sport this weekend,

I know it's only 1 hour, but if it was enough for someone to go for a walk, run, try a sport ? Then it gets my vote Thumbs Up

But who watches tv at that hour anyway? Most people want a rest after a full weeks work.

would have took most of them 1 hr to get off the sofa, to the fridge to get out the coke and another packet of crispy wotsits check their giro and back to the sofa (still I suppose that is some exercise) DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I would have had far more respect for ITV if they had shut down for one hour at 7.00pm of a week night. No Emmerdale, no Coronation Street. No advertising??
In the time of multi-channel 24 hour TV, most couch potatoes will have swapped channels rather than getting out and doing something so I would assume that their morale high ground will have failed.
I personally didn't notice that this had happened as I find ITV daytime to be mostly car crash television and very rarely switch on.

Given that for 9 plus months a year i work 7 days a week I'm quite happy to sit on my ass on the weekends i have off. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
