Im going to build a new TDV6 3.0L defender, need ideas.
As a lot of you know i built the first 2.7L TDV6 defender as a challange car as a mini project 18 months or so agao, well im now nearly ready to start to build a new defender using the new TDV6 3.0L from the D4/RRS 2010.

Im thinking possibily down the lines of a 110 or possibile a 130 and building a overland type car with duel fuel tanks, water tanks etc etc only because the challange car i built has got a limited aftersale market and untimatly this build will also eventually end up getting sold on.

So ideal welcome Smile

Below is my donor TDV6 3.0L engine.

Pete

Ohhh That needs to go into my Bowler Tomcat, or as an idea why not put it into a 101FC that would show the people who keep putting lazy GMC V8's in whats what !! If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

How about a 130 a bit like AndrewS's 130 on here with the TDV6 in it? If not then 110 double cab would be nice with some sort of custom back on it?

Anyway, you got a job going for a few days a week while im not busy farming this time of year?

Pete.

I was talking to a chap in Canada about Defenders a month or so ago as they don't seem to know much about them. I showed him a picture from the gallery on here and the first picture it showed in the 'random pictures' was Andrews 130. He was very impressed and assumed it'd have at least a V6 diesel under the bonnet.... Was shocked when I said it's only a 2.4 4-cylinder!

JE Engineering have that 2.7 130. It would be nice to see it in a 110....how about a 110 USW? I love the double cab but you have the least amount of space to convert....

Hi Pete, are you able to do custom builds of the 2.7? Might be interested in getting one fitted to our Defender next year Editor of FunRover - One blog. Read it!
