Forgot to add - it's below the exhaust manifold.

Anyone have any ideas? It's a 2007 2.4 TDCi if that helps.

Having searched here this maybe the oil pressure switch but it doesn't have anything connected to it?? There's what looks like a harness folded back on itself up the exhaust manifold.
Can anyone advise? |

It is unused on the Landrover installations of the Ford TDCi engines (possibly used on Ford or other makes though). I *think* it may be connected with oil level monitoring on vehicles so fitted.
It should have nothing connected to it on a Defender. |
