Blackwolf, I'm not sure I should say this on what I assume is probably a firmly heterosexual website (not that I have any issues with homosexuals, but given my best mate is and would steer clear of Defenders, I would suggest they will be in the minority in this website.....but welcome to you all if you're here), but I could kiss you
![]() After the failed test, dove under the bonnet again and gave the valve a really good seeing too. There was a notable, large 'click' which seemed to free movement up a bit. Closed the lid, went to bed. Yesterday, (hot day - 30c), drove for a good couple of hours and nothing. Nada, rien, zilch. No heat, no hot plate, no hot air from the dash vents. Mrs a Grenadier wondered why throughout the drive I had my hand stuck down between the dash and gear selectors. Normally it's there within 10mins, but not this time. It's cold (as cold as it can be in a Def). Fan works blowing that cold-ish air as well. Didn't want to tempt fate by twisting it to hot, so will leave it for summer as the 'hot' setting if the valve gets stuck again is so good it'll be great when we hit winter ![]() Anyway, as ever your knowledge was bang on the money and fantastically useful. Thank you oh sage of the Defender world ![]() (You don't have to have the kiss if you don't want to.... ![]() I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
