Is that the external or internal measurement ? Sounds like a 2 inch receiver, for which there are loads of options for recovery and towing equipment. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

Search receiver hitch on Google and it'll give you some ideas. There are a few people about doing the full kits and I'm pretty sure you can buy the hitch on its own

2" receivers are not approved as towing equipment. However if it can be used legally or not as tow bar depends if your Defender is pre 97 or is classed as a commercial.
The internal measurement of the tube should be in the region 50.8- 51.0 mm Have a search on 4x4overlander.com for drop plates. Brendan |

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge This is the dimensions of the receiver. I haven't been able to find anything off the shelf which fits yet? Do you have any other suggestions before I make something. I'm a bit reluctant to make something if something tested and rated is available. Thanks. |
