There are various options.
16x8 steel modulars (not wolf) can be had with zero offset (33mm further out that standard) for around £40 a wheel. I've noticed raptor4x4 are doing a deep dish wolf style wheel with zero offset but they're £83 a pop. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Raptor-4x4-Wolf-...Swll1Wudbn  |

Very nice, civvy half shafts. Remember swapping my glass side / indicators with a army registered truck for the larger plastic ones in a car park in the dales. Oh those were the days

Hi WYL,
the halfshafts are the originals from the army. They moved away from the flat hub type shafts in the early 80's. This was one of the last 3 to be registered with the MOD ( in March 1985), the other 2 going to serve with the Red Arrows. Still trying to find out the chassis numbers from the other 2 to see if mine was the last  |

Land Rover did a bigger offset wheel for 2B Forward Control and 109 1 tonne ...these where all the rage in the 1980's for trialling - later they were fitted to early 127 defenders.

There's a lot of confusion about the 6.5" steel wheels Landrover has used over the years, much of this confusion comes from aftermarket manufacturers and dealers who don't know enough to describe them accurately.
There were two versions of 6.5" rim used on the 2A FC and very early 2B FC vehicles, which have different offsets but have the same part number (543384). The early version of these is exceptionally rare. Most of the 2B FC had were fitted with p/n 569203, and the 109" 1 ton was fitted with 569204. All four of these, ie 543384 Version 1, 543384 Version 2, 569203, and 569204 have different offsets and are not strictly compatible. They are all rivvetted rims which require tubed tyres. On the whole they are scarce (especially 543384 Version 1 and 569203 which are exceptionally rare) and when they do come up for sale they fetch silly money. It is very rare that the seller (or probably the buyer, for that matter) actually knows what they are selling or buying! The 127, 130, and most Rapier and early Snatch vehicles used ANR1534, a 6.5" rim with a 20.6 offset, which is the one that is generally available (whatever it may erroneously be described as). These are welded tube type rims, although it is rumoured that there is a tubeless version (which I have never seen, nor found a part number for). As far as i know this is the only type still being manufactured. It is however definitely not the rum used on 2A FC, 2B FC, not 109" 1 ton vehicles originally. There is of course the Defender HD steel wheel (aka "Wolf" wheel) which is 6.5" with a 20.6 offset (the same dimensions as the 127/130 rim), which is available in either tube or tubeless versions. This is now the most widely available 6.5" steel rim. |

An interesting choice of name for that wheel, "Defend 1947 Heritage", since it bears no resemblance whatsoever to anything Landrover has ever used on a Series or Defender vehicle! It is however incredibly similar to the standard Disco 1 steel wheel which (in my opinion) looks dreadful on a Defender!
I like the ways that is says it was "specifically designed for Land Rover Defender" - there aren't many 5 x 165mm PCD hubs, so it would hardly be designed for anything else. I notice that helpfully they don't tell you the offset either. I suppose if you want a 9" wide 16" diameter steel wheel your choices are limited. They have some of the most hideous and grotesquely-butchered Defenders for sale on the "current stock" page too - a veritable orgy of Kahn-esque bad taste!  |

Well I've finally got five new Wolf style rims with zero offset. Initially ordered 4, as this was all they had in stock. They got lost and took three weeks to arrive
. Of course I need five so rang Raptor direct and found out why only four were available on eBay. Only four in the country! Ordered the fifth one, which would be coming direct from Italy, and it arrived four days later  . Rims now with paint sprayer to go from black to Alpine White, photos to follow when complete . After reading a separate thread, I decided to go paint rather than powder, as repairs are easier going forward.

Well Gents, Winter wheels installed as it is clock change day!!
I'm well happy as always liked the Deep Dish look of Forward Control Rims on lightweights, back in the day

They look great, I was planning on a set of the 30mm spacers with my Wolf Wheels fitted with 235/85/16's. Im wanting to bring the tyre out to the fender edge without going wide, but also to increase the steering lock. Did you have any issues with your spacers?
