Googling "24v alternator" throws up a few leads but looks like it's not going to be cheap!

might be wrong but think military had a CAV AC203 Alternator but had special mounts, there will be a load of these spare soon as they are fitted to class 150/2 railway vehicles and will soon be replaced with a more modern type DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

hi, already did the goggling thing and as u said it throws up loads of information HOWEVER none of is clear which one would actually fit in place on a 300tdi engine alternator mounts, will continue to research..........................many thanks |

I would ring rather than Google, gwyn Lewis, Devon 4x4 or gigglepin these all have experience of using 24v systems in winching / off road challenge and would be well placed to advise. There may be others 😀

many thanks will try that once I get back home from work, at the minute in Malaysia so not easy to call
