Sorry another wheel post...
I really can't decide between a set of 17" Manta's (ET10) or 16" Twisted (ET0) alloys on a 110 SW, I welcome your opinions PLEASE. I'm erring towards the Manta's as not quite so wide stance and the wheel tyre ratio is just right (IMO), but my current boosts with 30mm spacers (ET3) does give a really good turning circle, and I prefer the look of the Twisted. I unfortunately can't stretch to 18" so that rules that out. Anyway I really would appreciate some opinions? Thank you ![]() |

I had 20" manta on my 110 and they were a great alloy!
Got some 17" KM2 Muds so im looking for 17" manta alloys too to wrap these on, so if you find a combined deal for 10 let me know ![]() 2015 Discovery 4.5 Black pack Firenze red XS |

I think I got a similar price, but mine was with 265x70R17 KO2's fitted.
The 16" Twisted were a similar price so now can't decide! |

I have the standard silver boosts with 30mm spacers (for much improved turning circle) and conti tyres (which i hate). I don't dislike the boost style but really don't like the silver. I've considered getting them painted, and still might. Costs are approx. £350 to paint 5 or £1700 for new wheels and tyres.

Hello
On that basis I would have the boosts painted and see if you like it. Bank almost £1500. New steering wheel, remap and still have some spare cash ![]() However unsure why your not keen on the contis, I have 235's all round on mine and more than happy, quite (if you could call a defender quite) and grippy. |

What you say is probably quite right and very sensible but...

Been thinking about it all day and think new wheels may have to wait. Will maybe get my boosts sprayed, the trouble is it's used everyday so taking it off the road for 3 days is difficult. Might keep an eye out for a cheap set of mud tyres and wheels as second set.
