My thoughts are rich kids in mummy or daddy’s Rangie, thinking they would have a spiffing time and a ‘larf’ while parents are holidaying. That’s why they tried to have it recovered before they get back.

Now the parents will be very vexed and rather huffy when they come home, and Tarquin, Arlington or Ottila Flutie will probably have their young Harrods accounts stopped for a weekend.

Not sure I've seen jealousy at this level for a while Rolling with laughter

Never seen a RRS or a FFRR here with any other than 100% road tires. Wonder if more able tires are even an option?

To be honest I was, that little green monster had climbed upon my shoulder whispering words dripping in envy, punctuated with such resentfulness that I could not help myself but to outpour lines of spite and bitterness… Laughing

But then I reread the article and noticed that the park in question was Queens Park in Collyhurst Manchester. Collyhurst is a dump, its basically rundown houses built on a landfill site, and everyone mistreats each other there, so the residents don’t care much for or respects anything. I now think it was not rich kids, but probably low life skunk growers out for their usual off road foray in Manchester parks, so I now realise that there is nothing to get jealous about. Whistle For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I wonder where the £7 million to refurbish the park came from?

I suspect you're right and still suspect my original thoughts will be proven correct.

Oh Gilarion, Gilarion, Gilarion. You need to do some research before making accusations. If you knew the parents of any Tarquins you'd know:

a. That they'd never drive a Pimp/Footballer/Essex white RR, it would be a Green Autobiography or perhaps a Holland and Holland.
b. That they'd never shop in nouveau riche Harrods, they prefer (if they have to use a London department store) Harvey Nicks, Fortnum and Masons and Selfridges.
c. That they would be disappointed if that was Tarquin's doing as he's been driving their RR around the green grass of their estate before he'd even got his place at Eton....

It's all in the detail, Gilarion. White RR, badly driven in Manchester? If it is a rebellious son, his Dad plays for City and mum's an ex glamour model... Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

My apologies Grenadier, my only excuse is learning the etiquette of being upper-class from the ‘Scousers Guide to Being Posh’ and the ‘Manchester Handbook to Bettering Oneself’, both accounts being renowned for those wishing to enter society as more refined. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Not everyone turns up at Eton in a Range Rover, some turn up in old Peugeots and Citroens and have sensible names Smile

And there are probably more Cayennes than FFRRs too.

Some staggeringly inept driving in that video, and those guys are LRE instructors? Shocked

Was at the LRE Scotland its a Franchise and the Instructor we had said that to work for the Scottish one you had to have experience ideally as a Ghilly, 4x4 Competitor or similar real world 4x4 experience where as other centers that are 100% LR you didn't need any experience as they trained you in house to Lantra or similar but since its in house your on their ' Managed' tracks !!!!

As far as I'm aware the instr at the LRE sites are trained to LR standards. They don't don't gain a nationally accredited qualification. So to say they are trained "to LANTRA" standards is a bit poor. If they are traine d to those standards why not pay the few quid and actually get a qualification. So read into that what you will. But with all sites the instr, are they instructors?? or are they merely after sales test drive employees? Anyway I digress. They take you on a road run to show the vehicle in road conditions and then they take you to a micro managed offroad site. Where they know the vehicle won't get stuck as it's designed to show the vehicle off to the uninitiated. You know the sort, buy a FFRR to go shopping. They get a few hours on a benign track to show them what it could do.

Yes, I've been on several LRE drive days. Went to Eastnor in my D3, ended up using the Deer Park(?) circuit and it was a few muddy puddles and the instr didn't have any product knowledge. A few questions from me and he was stumped. Even the wife asked a few that he couldn't answer which were basic run of the mill questions.
Then I went to Honiton, the instr we had there was great, apart from being ex RAF, I think. But then it's not his fault Rolling with laughter . Apart from that he was great. Very affable, very knowlegable but again on the offroad course we drove the vehicle around, but when it came to driving the elephants feet section, we were made to get out and watch when we actually wanted to drive that bit. 110 D250 SE HT
