either front mount or standard mounting. Don't really want to go down the td5 route and have the extra piping everywhere

Is a td5 intercooler not roughly the same size as a tdi one. Sa bigger but narrow core in comparison. Cheers

A lot more plumbing with a TD5 one though as ports are on opposite sides

Definitely want a 300tdi one. As jst says I don't think there is a massive improvement in a standard td5 one over stock 300. May bet a bit more cool airflow through as its a bigger frontal area but it doesn't appear to have a significant increase in capacity. Plus there is the agro/ additional cost of pipe work.

Possibly the longest of possible shots and is maybe something of an urban myth but here goes...

Apparently an intercooler from a DAF 45 truck (I know, getting thin on the ground these days..) is also supposed to be a direct swap size-wise for the 300Tdi and gives far bigger capacity.

If you find one, try it and find it works, can you let me know as I'm contemplating the same change....

Good luck!

Had a quick look at daf 45 intercoolers. Can't seem to find a size on them but they look like they will definetely need fab work to mount. I'm feeling a call to allard or allisport coming on 😀

not many old daf parts left now and yes you need to fabricate brackets for top and bottom and need custom pipes.

resale vale low

any of the branded ones will always sell well second hand
