Looks top drawer Keith.

Perhaps even too good to use. You using it behind the lightweight? 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone

Cheers for the comments . It was meant to be summer project but the summer has been the past 10 days eh ! Laughing
Berty is away for a couple of weeks getting his new gasflow head ,engine parts and mot . I wasn't intending starting the trailer strip down but the Nice weather has spurned me on . Very little rust and bashes means I don't have to take the tub off and little mess . It's a Very well looked after trailer and I'm matching the colours with Berty . Finished pics coming as soon as my fingers stop bleeding . Finished, ( well almost ) It's never really finished is it ? Brakes serviced today , new shoes , fresh paint , wheels sanded and painted . Stencils on . Still awaiting sidelights And at £80 for 2 , the most expensive parts on the trailer .
The family I bought it from have 5 grown up kids and the dad was selling everything he had including the house to move onto a canal boat . He used the trailer for kids camping trips and towed it with his FC . He'd kept it in great order as he'd often find the teenage kids sleeping under the canvas at weekends .in their sleeping bags . There's only one little hole that I can fill with a piece of chewing gum . It's certainly not going mud plugging. I've just bought a sheet of 18mm ply that I'm going to attach my howling moon roof tent to and strap to the trailer .
"Berty" s head is at Turner engineering getting the gasflow treatment and both should be re-united in a few weeks .
. Chassis done , floor rubbed and waxoyled, shocks and axle painted , A-frame painted , handbrake mechanism fully oiled and greased, all sides and arches painted 3 Coats .
Stacey , I'm looking forward to your finish also .
Keith

^ You and me too Smile

I looked a few and watched loads on auction sites, mine had been very well looked after and kept under cover so like yours hardly any rust and no holes,

this was mine simply after a jet wash, built like a tank aren't they Smile I've got new tyres to match my car and some other bits. My first job is to convert the 24v to 12v.

Yours will look great behind your car Smile

KISS . ( No not me Whistle ) Keep It Simple Stupid.
Don't look to far into your project or you'll end up doing a total tub and suspension off . ( months ) rub , clean , paint . If you need a new part , order it .

I haven't yet cross referenced the chassis No. Or dates . I will do so soon .
The RLC and 221 Sqn badging are relevant to the LWT that will be pulling it .
