2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Java Black
Forte Oil Flush
Just wanted to gauge opinion on the use of Forte Oil Flush on a 2.4 TDCi with 60K on the clock?

I think generally on higher mileages it's not recommended due to potentially dislodging crud that ends up blocking fine passages but what's considered to be higher mileage?

Any thoughts?

Wouldn't bother personally, seen too many (admittedly anecdotal) cases of it causing more harm than good.

If you really want to, I'd move to 5k oil changes rather than 10k for a while.

Hi Mark,

I just used it on a 215.000km 2.4 Puma and the result is staggering. Usually the new oil turns black quite quickly after a oil change, after the flush I have done about 2000km and the new oil is still crystal clear! LR Dealers here in the Netherlands use it to as a problem solver, even on high mileage vehicles.

^ Indeed, I use it once a year on my 300Tdi, now 370 k km. The engine runs as sweet as a sewing machine. Thumbs Up
